Product reviews: Ossur Air Equalizer Low Top Walking Boot

OSSUR AIR BOOT This product has really helped me because my foot has been sprained for 7 months and was not healing. It's been two weeks that I have been wearing the boot and it is great. It takes the pain away when I walk and it is easy to remove and put back on. I recommend this product for anyone having foot problems and difficulties from sprains or fractures.

Ossur boot I haven't worn a "walking boot" before so I can't compare that way, but this product was recommended by my clinic for healing from a stress fracture. I do find this boot supportive and comfortable. Orthotic Shop was the most reasonable priced for this product, shipping was very fast, I'm very satisfied and would use the Orthotic Shop again, although I hope I won't have to!

excellent product I had to remain in a boot for a long period and the inital boot I was given by the doctor was this brand. Because it had to be worn 24/7 I needed another boot so the liner could be cleaned. This was easy to purchase, quickly shipped and exactly like the one the doctor put me in. Gives great support and easy and comfortable to wear

Excellent Ordered this for a stress fracture; extremely comfortable and great price, especially compared to the $450 my sister paid for hers at her doctors.

Works great Comfortable to were and my husband felt immediate improvement after one night. He wore the boot a week and what felt as a heal spur is now a fading pain.

As far as service, no complaints. But as far as product, there have been many times that the air comes out of the boot and you have to keep inflating.

Delivery was 2 days later than I was expecting. The photo as above made it look much SHORTER than it really is so I was very disappointed. I am 5'3" and it comes to about an INCH below MY KNEE! AS I said, it almost reaches the kneecap. It is very heavy and bulky and makes it very difficult to do much in the way of moving. I know the whole idea of it is to IMMOBILIZE but I was not expecting it to be this bulky or the heel so thick and high. I never did get the air equalizer button to do anything that helped me. For the price I guess it was ok. It also hurts my knee that needs to be replaced so I have not worn it much. If you were TALLER and have GOOD KNEES this might work well for you.

I needed this after an ankle injury. I was uncertain as to which size to order, so I called and customer service helped me. I wear a women's 8 1/2 and wasn't sure about whether to order the small or the medium. For me, the small was the right fit, although my big toe did stick out over the end a little. This was not a problem though since I needed it to help stabilize my ankle. If I had to protect my toes, I would definitely get the medium. The other thing I liked about this boot is that it seems to be not as thick on the bottom as other boots I have had which makes it easier to level up with a shoe on the other foot.
