first pair. damm glad bought them. I have high arches. Severe pains in heels. Got shots to ease it. But needed insoles to keep feet happy. I did not want to get the expensive dr made ones. So I opted to try this. I was not unhappy and it fixed my pains the first day. Just wish I had bought a second pair for my slippers. I did not use the oven to mould it. I let it do it on its own.

Advantages: Size: Runs True to Size.
Shoe Width: Runs True to Size.
Would buy again.

I have worn custom orthotics for over 30 years and have a high arch. Recently developed a serious great toe ulcer, looking for a solution to hold by arches in their natural curve. Two attempts at custom foot othotic labs FAILED. So my foot doctor said "make them yourself"!! I found this product on Amazon and contacted the manufacturer for more information on the internal construction. When I received the insoles, the curves matched the shape of my foot perfectly. Unfortunately, there is no support directly under the arch, so my foot pronates, and just rolls over.

Advantages: Size correct, and curve fits the curve of my high arch. Fits with enough vertical space using an "extra height" shoe.

Disadvantages: Useless as an arch support unless you remove any inside shoe liner, and "fill-in" the huge open space under the arch down to the inside (top) of the sole. I clamped the orthotic to a flat metal plate, clamped vertically, and filled the opening with a liquid plastic compound. Not one but 2 doc's inspected, and said "this does it".
This Arch should come as a "kit" with a set filler pieces so you can pick the one(s) you need.

Great product. Makes my long days on my feet much easier to deal with. My knees and back are thanking me also.

Advantages: Use them in most of my athletic shoes, that the insole comes out.

Disadvantages: Didn't like them in my golf shoes, they threw off my swing.

I carefully followed instructions to heat and fit these insoles in my hiking boots. Went through the procedure twice but they still did not feel very good, arch felt all wrong. Ended up putting them in different shoes, and after wearing them around for a few days they feel pretty good. Not terribly cushioning though, which is what I wanted for the hiking boots I bought them for. I'll keep them to use in my other shoes, but still need to find something for my hiking boots.

Advantages: Easy to trim to fit.

Disadvantages: Have a high arch, even after heating and fitting. Not very cushioning.

I have suffered heel pain off and on since I was ~33 years old. I have out walked a couple of different pre$cription $$ orthotics. I tried this insole for Keen hiking boots about 2003? and they gave good arch support, protection and padding then. Fast forward 15 years, and I was back to a Doc for cortisone shots, and a OTC footbed sold by podiatrist. I wanted something for some sandals to wear on the beach and the 'footsteps' was a 3/4 length, so I dug out my old SOLE's and they fit my Bite [hard sole/water grip]sandals. Padding was shot after all the years, but I could tell the arch support was still good as what the doc had sold me. Finally found these non corked SOLE and they worked fine for my final trip to Hawaii. I give a generous four star rating, because I ended up cutting the heels out a Spenco closed cell cushion insole and hot-glued them to add to the 'softec' heels. 60+ years of being overweight has beat the fat out of my heels, and heel bone now crushes into plantar fascia and the ensuing inflammation is hard to deal with. These have helped as much as 'What the Doctor ordered". seemed to deal with water, as well.

Advantages: I have walked of the lavabed beach of Salt Pond, Kauai without any rebound pain. Just finished a dog walk on the concrete path, and it cushion the entire sole well.

Disadvantages: Sole, you need to up the heel padding another couple of mm. nobody wants to tackle Diabetic foot pain, Neuropathy, etc, but we baby boomers will spend a lot of money for pain relief that doesn't lead to addiction like the opiates.

SOLE Signature EV Ultra Good for Winter First off, I'm only filling out this review now due to an email prompt to do so... So I have not had time to fully test these insoles just yet. However, my initial impression is that they are good insoles for winter where thicker socks are required and help cushion everything or if you have strong healthy feet from the onset. So definitely make sure your mountaineering or hiking boots/shoes have extra volume to accommodate the additional room required for the insoles and thicker socks. In any event, I am still on the fence with regards to the Sole Signature EV Ultras but with more time and my feet getting stronger and used to them, I hope to enjoy them more. My orthoticshop.com experience was positive and you can't go wrong with them. Great prices, fast shipping and a smooth transaction so two thumbs up there!

The heel cup and arch supports are very sturdy and hold up very well to the long hours on hard floors. Having firm support like these insoles help spread the pressure out more evenly so no single part of my foot bears the brunt of the abuse. I would use these in all of my shoes for their stabilizing quality.

I've used the Blue EV insoles for several years now, and love them.
I'm a pro guide who spends many hours hiking, scrambling & climbing, and these are one of the only insoles that has a quality, dense form that lasts much longer than most.
I also appreciate the arch support these provide, as I have a high arch, and most shoes today, don't.
These may be a bit pricey, (Orthotic Shop has best prices I've found), but your feet and body will thank you.
So many shoes come with very poor insoles that break down in a few weeks, these last the length of the Teva shoes I wear, & beyond.
Orthotic Shop has fast delivery, and good e-mail communication, Thanks!

Advantages: Highest quality, long lasting, most supportive, good arch

Disadvantages: A bit pricey, heavy & take up more room in shoes than some.

Advantages: Cheaper than the Doctor's so you can have a few pairs. Good support

Disadvantages: A little stiff for some if not used to firm support.

The Sole insoles that I bought were suggested by my foot doctor. I have tried the suggestion of warming them in the oven to help the fit however it is still very painful to wear them. So far I have been unable to us them. I am very disappointed as I am havong a lot of problems with my feet. I have tried early in morning before my feet get sore and they still hurt a lot.

Advantages: None

Disadvantages: The Hurt. Even when I try to use them early on the morning. Very frustrated.

Ordered the SOLE Signature EV Softec Ultra Custom Insoles because my previous pair wore through on my big toes. The ones sent to me have been working great in my work boots. The graphic is different but not important to me.

Advantages: Form fits to your foot after heating them up to around 160F. (make sure to watch them closely or they will de-laminate on you)

Disadvantages: Most ovens have a low heating of 170F so watch the color indicator closely.

Come a little long so trimming might be necessary depending on your shoe shape.
