First, I got these through a different vendor, but feel an "obligation" to the company to discuss them everywhere. These are without the poorest quality footwear I HAVE EVER KNOWN. The flimsiest leather, no grommets or speedlacing, Just, Cheap, Crap. The very first time I laced them, one of the lace holes ripped open. Had I looked closer, and not been so desperate to find a 6e boot, I would have run away from the store. The construction of the upper was done in a very crappy way, with padding NOT extending to the top eyeholes. ZERO reinforcement around the eyeholes, so that after the first wearing, the fabric was pulling away from the holes, exposing more of the foam around every hole. RUN from these!
Advantages: A bigger payout, to the companies owners

This is fourth pair I've had. Rec'd first three through VA and wear every day with inserts. Great support.
Advantages: Great support and wears well with inserts.
Disadvantages: Right sole has separated on last two pair. Tried gluing them but did not work out. They would have worn longer if the soles had not separated.

I alike these very much they are very light and modern looking I fractured my foot and was injured overseas at 19 yrs. My foot surgeon likes the hicking boot better because of more support than the walking boot. The VA has a contract with my Emmy so these are the only boots and shoes I have my special incerts are easy to remove and put in my other my Emmy shoes, I am happy and thankful for the foot ware.
