The shoe is well made with good leather. I had a bit of a struggle getting a left drop-foot orthotic in place due to the elastic strap sewn in place. I removed the insole and that helped but now the shoe has a loud squeak!
Advantages: Nice leather uppers. Roomy.
Disadvantages: A bit clunky looking. Elastic sewn-in strap presents some problems with getting the shoe on if an orthotic is used. Shoe squeaks!

Believe the measuring instructions! I was wearing a 9.5W to accommodate wide feet, bunions & hammertoes. Bought 7.5 5E & they fit perfectly - put them on when I opened the box & super comfortable immediately. Like them so much I immediately ordered a second pair.
Advantages: 5E width allows me to wear proper length shoe. (I tripped over too-long shoe, fell & seriously injured myself - which prompted me to search online for proper fitting shoes.) I easily substitued my own rigid high arch support for the softer arch supports that came with the shoes.
Disadvantages: I wish the velcro strap wasn't so long - it detracts from the look of the shoe.
