Unlike the first pair of shoes like this that I tried on after receiving my prosthetic, these shows were deep enough to accommodate everything including my foot. The shoes are stylish and fit great
Advantages: These shoes have the velcro closure which makes it easer to put them on with the prosthetic.
Disadvantages: So far none

I ordered these direct to have a new pair of brown shoes along with the new black pair in another style from Mt Emey I got through a local orthopedic shop. I'd gotten good fit before from Dr Comfort, Orthofoot, and New Balance, but this time they didn't work out. Mt Emey fit right from the box with little or no adjustment. I've had much better luck ditching custom orthotics with toe spacers in favor of a plain flat orthotic without the spacers. It seemed I always got new ulcers either from rubbing against the spacers or from the spacers crowding my foot over to rubbing against the side of the shoe even with multiple attempts at adjustments.
Advantages: Better fit right from box. Proper depth to allow for thickness of orthotics without causing rubbing of the top of your foot and a new wound. Proper width to prevent rubbing of the sides of your foot and new wounds.
Disadvantages: Absolutely no disadvantages as long as you have proper orthotic inserts.

Sole wears out really fast. They don't have high top boots in a 9E.
Advantages: Shoe sizes closer to the with of the foot
Disadvantages: Not enough 9E width shoes to choose from. Need high top/hiking boots. Sole wears out in 3 to 4 weeks.
