I am surprised at how light the shoes are and how well they hold up. This is the second pair of MT Emey boots (8.5 6E) - I still have the first pair just, wanted back up. I am in the woods daily on a 300 acre timber farm and these are so light I cannot stand wearing other boots. I have three other pairs of boots that cost 3 times as much (each) but are now collecting dust in my closet. The fit is great - I just use the broke-in inserters from my old boots for about a week then change to the new inserters and avoid break-in pains - fits like a glove.
Advantages: light! Light! light! My feet don't get tired like other heavy boots that come in 6e widths.
Disadvantages: Not crazy about the velcro strap. Also color is ugly - I brush with black shoe polish to tone them down a bit. I know you have black but in the south the black soaks up heat while in the sun.
