Upper: Waterproof nubuck leather & highly abrasion-resistant textile, Oboz BDry waterproof/breathable membrane, molded rubber toe cap
Midsole: Dual density EVA, nylon shank
Insole type: O-Fit Insole - plush foot foam, supportive heel cup and arch support - medium density foam and a soft touch top layer. Insoles are also removable so they can accommodate custom orthotics.
Anatomically-designed insole maximizes stability and support
Outsole: Sawtooth - Nylon Shank, supportive balanced cushioning, sidewall lugs add traction & grip. Thru-hiker cult favorite and classic Oboz sole. Sheds mud, offers intense traction, and maintains stability.
Roomy toe boxes.
B-Dry Waterproof breathable membrane - keep feet dry through creeks, mud, rain and sweat, thanks to three key components.
Proprietary tape-sealed polyurethane film bootie, which waterproofs shoes but still lets sweat escape.
BDry shoes come with hydrophobic upper materials, meaning the rest of the shoe won't absorb water.

Yer gonna love this. I've bought 5 pair of Oboz Firebrands over the last 5 or so years; 3 pair from REI, 2 from Orthoticshop (GREAT SERVICE). I've put these shoes through the mill. From miles upon miles of hiking and backpacking, to day to day stuff, to doing a lot of hard yard work here in the Mojave Desert..., the shoes have shown outstanding service.

Advantages: Just all-around great shoes; except for one thing......

Disadvantages: ....if your rock-hoping around a stream or water, once the bottom of the shoe gets wet, it gets slippery. So be careful.

I was thankful for the Orthotic Shop to have the only pair of shoes I wear nowadays and had them in stock. They were quick to get them shipped out to me and appreciate the service. Thank you again!

Advantages: Specialized hiking boot was nowhere to be found and the Orthotic Shop had them in stock. Comfortable, keeps me stable, and love the look.
