PowerStep UltraStretch Night Sock Support

The PowerStep UltraStretch Night Sock offers a gentle, adjustable dorsiflexion stretch to hold the foot in a neutral position and ease morning pain from plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. Ultra-soft, lightweight materials provide comfort while at rest or during sleep, and the non-stretch toe area ensures flexion originates at the ball of the foot. Fits right or left foot for convenient overnight support and recovery.

Features of PowerStep UltraStretch Night Sock Support

  • Comfortably stretches the calf and soft tissues of the foot: helps reduce morning stiffness and pain
  • Ultra-soft, lightweight materials: added comfort during rest or sleep
  • Adjustable dorsiflexion strap: provides a slight, gentle and effective stretch to aid recovery
  • Non-stretch toe portion: ensures flexion originates at the ball of the foot for optimal relief
  • Adjustable calf band and right/left fit: prevents slipping and accommodates use on either foot
  • Speeds recovery from plantar fasciitis and overuse injuries: comfortable alternative to bulkier night splints
  • Materials: latex free; sock made of nylon/polyester/spandex knit; adjustable nylon/polyester strap; non-stretch urethane film toe
  • Sizing: Regular fits calves up to 16" circumference; Large fits calves 16"-21" circumference
  • Packaging contains: 1 sock
  • Care: secure straps and hand wash in cold water with gentle soap, rinse and air dry; do not machine wash or dry

Customer Review Summary

Customers commonly report that the Night Sock provides noticeable relief for heel pain and a gentle supportive stretch from the sling. Several reviewers praise its effectiveness, though experiences vary. Recurring concerns include inconsistent sizing and fit-many find the calf and foot sections too tight or awkwardly long, which can cause discomfort or require returns.

As advertised, but weak design I took the risk of getting this, thinking all the while it would bend my toes back and cause discomfort during the night, perhaps cramping by morning. Unfortunately, that is what I experienced. I think the principle of stretching the Achilles tendon at night is correct, but the solution requires, I think, a more rigid toe area so that the toes are not, a.) restricted in flexing (they are constrained in the sock), and b.) not pulled up and back. Both of these caused me to remove the sock after a few hours of wearing it. Again, the product was as advertised, but the design, IMHO, is fundamentally weak. I'm giving a "good" overall because the product implementation and delivery were fine; the design of the product is what doesn't help, in my case. One more thing. The strap around my calf slid down in the night, loosening the tension on the toe. That was a more minor concern given the design concern.

Made a difference Woke up with pain-free, relaxed foot and calf. Tricky to get ball of foot, not toes, bent, but once I did the sock was comfy.

Would buy again.

There is no perfect solution but it is a good solution As already said, a good way to heal Achilles tendinitis is to stretch it during the night. Unfortunately, some people have problem sleeping with a foot in this position. I must say that this ultrastretch sock is more comfortable than a night splint brace (big plastic brace) but it does stretch the toes. The best solution if you feel discomfort is to reduce the stretching. Most of the time I'm ok with it but I may try with a shoe insert to reduce toes stretching.

These work. I don't have lots of pain when I get up and first walk on my feet in the morning. The only thing I don't like is how the velcro at the top of the sock rubs on the back of my knee. I solved this by tucking my pj pants into the sock. Wish I had discovered these years ago.

It worked!

Disadvantages: Toes weren't in a comfortable position one night; I had to loosen
the strap more than I wanted.
