Vionic's High Tide is just what I've been waiting for - a flip flop with a platform sole. The description suggested ordering this sandal in Wide if the Tide sandal in Medium is what you normally wear. I found the Medium worked for me.

I was so excited when I found these sandals in my size, 8Wide, in Leopard, and they fit perfect. They were pretty and dressy with the patent leather shine. Yet, I could still wear them all day at work and still go to dinner at night and my feet were fine. The nearly 2" platform was easy to walk in, I didn't even realize I was doing it. I thought I would fall off since I haven't worn heels in a while, but not a problem. They do make that 'flip-flop' sound, but not too loud, and after a while I just tuned it out. I give these shoes a 10! Love 'em.
Advantages: Easy on, easy off. Patent leather is sexy and easy to care for. Dress it up or down. Makes you 2" taller. You walk with a little more swing, little more sass.
Disadvantages: If you are not used to a thong between your toes it can hurt or the strap across the top of your foot can be sore for a while to you get used to walking in the shoe.

I was excited about the wedge, having heal problems you have to wear certain shoes. however, I must say I am disappointed because they are too floppy on my feet, causing a fall. I had a hip replacement one year ago and I have to be careful.

Love them. I have wide feet but still got the medium and get a bit tight at first but are fine after one wear.

Advantages: Nice heel height same comfortable shoe
Disadvantages: Weak anckles may roll off shoe so buyer be aware.
